Sao Paulo fullback Daniel Alves admits he had a serious offer from Real Madrid earlier in his career.
During his time with Sevilla, the Brazilian international was approached by Los Blancos who were hoping to bring him to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu instead of the Camp Nou.
"I had an offer from Real Madrid when I was still at Sevilla," Alves explained in an interview with RAC1.
"Like it or not, Real Madrid are a big club.
"However, I decided to go with what my heart was saying and I chose Barcelona."
