Three Kunak fishermen robbed at gunpoint

KUNAK: Three fishermen were lucky to have escaped unharmed after being robbed at gunpoint by a group of three men in the waters off here, early Sunday.

Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) Commander Datuk Ahmad Fuah Othman on Monday said the fishermen, aged between 39 and 40s, lost a 15-horsepower outboard engine, two handphones, two fish storage compartments and two 25-litre capacity jerry cans in the 3am incident. 

It was understood that one of the robbers held a gun throughout the robbery before fleeing after bundling the stolen goods into their boat.
