Mouscron coach Jorge Simao is delighted for Diogo Jota over his success with Liverpool.
Simao worked with Jota at Pacos de Ferreira.
He told Marca: "I'm not surprised. It's the same as he has always done, but Liverpool has more visibility. I remember when he signed for Porto I said that he would be Cristiano's natural substitute in the national team. It was misunderstood, but now a lot of people say that.
"He was not born rich, he comes from below, but from a young age he already said that he wanted to play the Champions League. He has an incredible mentality. At 19 years old, without me telling him anything, he began to work his left foot in training. He understood that he needed to develop it."
