Cops seize petrol in Semporna

SEMPORNA: Marine Police here seized four jerry cans containing petrol estimated worth RM2,001.60 from a pump boat in waters off Pulau Nusakuya at 2pm on Saturday.

Semporna Marine Operations Headquarters Commanding Officer, DSP Mohammad Ismail, said his team detained a pump boat that looked suspicious for inspection during an operation dubbed “Op Benteng Covid”.

“However, a man believed to be the skipper accelerated towards the shallow water area on the coast and fled to a nearby forest.
