Fulham boss Scott Parker is determined to prove himself this season.

Fulham owner Shahid Khan has said farewell to eight managers since he bought the club in 2013 and Parker has no intention of becoming the ninth name on the American's hit list.

He explained: "I can't answer how the chairman is but, in terms of our relationship, it is spot on. With the chairman (Shahid Khan) and (Khan's son) Tony, the dialogue is constant.

"That's down to one individual, how they see the football club and how they want their football club to move forward.

"I'm not the owner. Only he can decide that. If he feels and understands where we are this year, the things we are doing and where that can lead us then, hopefully, we become stronger for that.

"He'll make those decisions, of course. I understand that in my position. First and foremost we have to try and win games."
