M’sian general visits Sulu to monitor peace effort

Kota Kinabalu: The head of the International Monitoring Team (IMT) of the Philippine government’s peace process with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) visited Sulu Province for the first time last Thursday.

Headed by Malaysian Major General Datuk Muhammad Anwar Abdullah, the visit was part of efforts to keep track of the peace agreement.

During the day trip, Anwar paid courtesy calls on the Joint Task Force Sulu Commander Major General William Gonzales and Sulu Governor Abdusakur Tan.
