Takefusa Kubo is ready to quit Villarreal in January.

The Japan midfielder is on-loan at Villarreal this season from Real Madrid, but has seen little action under coach Unai Emery.

This is in contrast to his loan with Mallorca the previous season where he was a regular.

El Periódico Mediterráneo says Kubo is seriously considering a change of scenery.

Though it's a possibility that right now has not been transferred to the Castellón club, where they claim to have "no request from anyone to study a possible departure for the player".

However, it's suggested Kubo's camp are now seeking to place him at a new club in January where he can be guaranteed a start.
