Chelsea are prepared to test the resolve of West Ham United by submitting a winter bid for Declan Rice.
The defensive midfielder, who can also play at centre-back, is a key target for Blues boss Frank Lampard.
According to Football Insider,Chelsea will make an offer for Rice in the coming months.
But they may have to sell one or two first team players to fund the move.
Rice would cost a lot of money, and the likes of Jorginho, Antonio Rudiger and Marcos Alonso could be sold to raise funds.
The Blues could not sell those players in the summer, and the source claims it is the reason why Rice is still a West Ham player.
