SANDAKAN: Residents in Kampung Sim-Sim, here, can now turn trash into food items under the newly-launched Foodbank (Trash for Food) programme.

Tanjong Papat Assemblyman Datuk Frankie Poon Ming Fung said the initiative is one of the ways to help affected villagers, especially those who lost their jobs or source of income due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Villagers can now re-stock their food supply by helping to pick up rubbish around the water village,” he said after launching the programme, here.
