Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon says the club must always stand by coach Zinedine Zidane.
Before last night's win over Inter Milan, Nerazzurri coach Antonio Conte admits he held talks with Real about the job.
Calderon told Calciomercato.it: "Regarding the statements of Antonio Conte, who said he had rejected Madrid's proposal, he said: 'I think they looked for me', but it's normal.
"The problem is that for the Merengues, winning is an obligation and, if it doesn't happen, the coach questions himself.
"Zidane, however, now deserves trust and respect for everything he has achieved at the club and the stability he has given the squad. He must continue."
