England boss Gareth Southgate insists Jack Grealish and Mason Mount can play together.
Much has been made about the competition between the Aston Villa and Chelsea stars for a place in the Three Lions team.
The pair lined up together for the first-time in England's 3-0 win over the Republic of Ireland on Thursday.
Asked if the line-up can work in the future, Southgate said: "Of course. There are a lot of other players in the squad as well. We have a lot of competition for places.
"You saw them in two different roles today, they can both play a lot of different roles. Winks did well and Saka looked a lot more confident than he did in his last game."
