Arsenal have been given encouragement in their pursuit of RB Salzburg midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.
The Hungarian has become a key target for the Gunners as they are desperate for creativity in midfield.
The 20-year-old helped his country qualify for Euro 2020 and has excelled at club level this season as well.
And Salzburg manager Jesse Marsch expects Szoboszlai to leave in the January window.
Speaking on CBS Soccer's !Què Golazo! podcast, the American coach said: "Specifically with Szobo, we spent a lot of time going over individual videos and going over what his role was, how to be more dynamic, how to play our football, and I think over time we had a lot of fun together.
"I think he's grown immensely over the last 18 months and it's a source of pride for me, when I see that these young men are achieving all of the things I believe they can - not just in their careers, but in their life."
The Austrian side's boss said: "Szobo, he's likely to leave in winter - that's the reality. He'll have so many suitors and we went through this with Erling last year.
"But in the end, I'm so happy for him and I want him to show everybody how good he is. With the national team in Hungary, he's helped them get to the Euro Championships in the summer and he's like the hope of Hungary.
"Even when I watch him play for the national team, I just want him to achieve so much because I believe in him so much. This is the fun part.
"When you can play a small role in these young peoples' lives, I think it makes it that much more meaningful."
