Manchester United castaway Sergio Romero is struggling to find a new club.

The Argentine was no.2 at United for the past few seasons behind David De Gea.

But the experienced goalkeeper is frozen out since the arrival of Dean Henderson this season.

And according to Cope in Spain, Romero was close to a move to Valencia in the January transfer window.

However, the move has fallen through.

Everything was agreed between United and Los Che, but the latter withdrew from negotiations at the last minute.

This was after the club's coaching staff decided against signing the veteran Romero.
