Davide Ballardini is happy to be back with Genoa.
Ballardini replaces Rolando Maran as he returns to Genoa for the fourth time as coach.
“I have returned to a place I know and I'm very happy, even intrigued by the work we need to do," Ballardini told Sky Sport Italia.
“I feel great affection and respect at Genoa, and that gives me even more of a sense of responsibility. We need to do things right and everyone has to give their all in this situation.
“The past no longer matters, it's what we do from now that really counts. There wasn't much time to talk with President Preziosi, we've got a lot to do and not long to figure out what needs to be done.
“Genoa have some very good players, but that doesn't necessarily make a good team. Tomorrow we need to put in a good performance and send a signal."
