West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek was delighted to score in their equaliser for Sunday's 2-2 draw with Brighton.
The Hammers had to twice come from behind, with Ben Johnson scoring earlier for the hosts, and Soucek thought the end outcome was just.
"A think a draw was fair," he said. "We're a little bit disappointed because before we game we wanted to win, but when you go behind twice at 1-0 and 2-1 [you have to take it]. I think a draw was fair for both sides.
"We created maybe more chances, and we showed good spirit that we wanted to win the game when we were twice losing,"
Alongside his fourth strike of the season, Souček was delighted for Academy product Johnson after he scored his first senior goal.
"Ben is a good guy, a young guy and he deserves that very much," he added.
"Every day he gives 100 per cent in training and it was a very good performance from him."
