Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce says Joelinton has a big role in his plans this season.
The Brazilian scored his first goal in 17 matches in the Premier League and put in a man of the match display at Crystal Palace to help secure three important points for the Magpies.
Bruce said: "I think any striker likes somebody alongside him.
"We don't see it very often these days. The way the game is played these days it's all changed. He is certainly a handful.
"The link-up play and a little bit of quality between him and Callum Wilson have got them both a goal and assist each."
Bruce added: "There was a performance from him.
"Physically there was a performance from him and he is now getting used to playing in the Premier League.
"Look he has to improve with his finishing.
"He had the best opportunities for us on the night (at Palace)."
