Municipal status for Putatan soon

PUTATAN: The District Council has been urged to constantly update and improve its delivery services not just for the benefit of Putatan dwellers and business operators, but in preparations for town board or municipality status.  

 State Community Development and People’s Wellbeing Minister, Shahelmey Yahya (pic), who is also Tanjung Keramat Assemblyman, said being one of the districts closest to Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK), Putatan has been booming with various developments as the city area expanded.

 Which means the elevation of Putatan’s status to a town board may come sooner as more new developments take place, he said, adding it is why the District Council must be customer-friendly.
