New bridge to be built in Lamag village

KINABATANGAN: A new bridge will be built in Kampung Buang Sayang, here, to replace a makeshift bridge (pic) made out of logs which endangers its villagers.

Lamag Community Development Chief Abu Bakar Gapar, who had been alerted by concerned residents about the matter, went to the ground to inspect the bridge.  

“I personally went to the ground to see the problems faced by the villagers in relation to their difficulties using the bridge which is made from several pieces of wooden tree trunks as their daily route,” he said after the site visit.

According to Abu Bakar, the bridge is unstable and threatens the safety of users who pass through it in their daily travels.
