KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 23 — The Prisons Department has cancelled family visit sessions with inmates at all prisons in conjunction with Christmas Day this year.
In a brief statement today, the department said the visit sessions would be replaced by video sessions using Skype and prepaid mobile services which have been made available at the prisons.
The statement said that the move was made to prevent the spread of Covid-19 into the prison institution.
