Beaufort mart traders upset over action

BEAUFORT: Traders here have started to feel the pressure after the District Council instructed them to clear their tables at the General Market to make way for its renovation. 

 The traders have no choice but to resort to selling their trade along sidewalks around the town area. 

 “It is very troublesome for vegetable and fruit vendors,” said one trader who spoke on condition of anonymity

 “We, along with dozens of other traders, have previously run small businesses by the General Market but have been instructed to vacate our tables by the District Council and move to the edge of the field.
