SKYLINE SIB Kota Kinabalu successfully raised over RM150,000 from kind donors under its Skycommunity project. The funds were used to purchase medical equipment for hospitals, quarantine centres as well as prisons. Its spokesperson Joseph Koh said the donation items include powered air-purifying respirators (PAPR), vital monitor systems, electrocardiogram machines (ECG), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), face masks, face shields, gloves as well as food supplies for the needy around Kota Kinabalu, Inanam, Tuaran, Telipok and other rural areas. The State Health Department (JKNS) also received RM92,631.50 worth of donations in the form of multiple PAPR and ECG units.

Skycommunity also plans to distribute 1,000 Christmas food baskets to frontliners from Dec 19-21.

The baskets will include food and a Christmas card to extend mental and emotional support towards healthcare workers.
