Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has responded to Tottenham's Jose Mourinho after thumping Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Klopp says he agrees with Mourinho's assessment of Liverpool's injury crisis.
But the Reds boss believes having that kind of problem in his squad has forced his fit players to shoulder too much of the burden this season.
After the Reds extended their lead at the summit to six points with a 7-0 hammering of Crystal Palace on Saturday lunchtime, Klopp said:
"I don't think we have to make this prediction over what more is to come after a 7-0 win.
"But if you want to reach whatever in this league, you have to consistently be at your best and to be consistent, you need options.
"Jose Mourinho said before our game against Tottenham that only two or three players are not involved for us on the pitch for our game, from the league winners and he is actually right.
"The problem is only that these players have had to play like 80 or 90 per cent of the season, so that is more our problem. So far we could only bring a really good team on the pitch.
"We fill up [the squad] with really sensationally talented boys that really helps but the majority of the season is still to come, so it is not about how much more we can do.
"We just have to be ready on each match-day to find a way to win this specific game and we will try that with all we have and we will see later on in the season."
