Kuala Lumpur: Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin suffered injuries to his face after falling while cycling in Jalan Kampung Sri Cheeding, Banting, Selangor today. A cycling enthusiast, Khairy landed in a ditch after his bicycle hit a pothole at about 11 am. He confirmed the incident on his Twitter account by uploading a photo showing his bruised face and the location of the accident.

His press secretary Raja Syahrir Raja Abu Bakar posted on Twitter that Khairy suffered light injuries.

“Thank you everyone for reaching out. @khairykj is fine. A little bruised up but all is good.,” he said.
