Kota Kinabalu: Majlis Datuk-Datuk Negeri Sabah (MDNS), a non-governmental organisation (NGO), is striving towards becoming financially independent, says its President Datuk Claudius Roman.

He said the members unanimously agreed to this to enable MDNS to carry out its activities and to assist the poor and needy through donations and contributions to welfare organisations.

“We are aiming for financial self-sufficiency to enable us to carry out charitable deeds for the less fortunate, among others,” he said after chairing the MDNS 10th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at ITCC Penampang, near here, recently.
