Manchester United legends Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand believe the team is overly reliant on Bruno Fernandes.
The Portuguese playmaker has become United's go to man for goals and creativity.
Fernandes is usually the one who inspires United to come back in games, even though they fell short in a 3-2 defeat to RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
Asked about Fernandes before and during that game, Scholes and Ferdinand had a lot to say on BT Sport.
"He's a top-class player, isn't he?" Scholes said.
"They took their time getting him, didn't they? I think they were linked with him for a couple of years, but they finally took the gamble to take him and they've been rewarded with it.
"He's been brilliant, look at his numbers, his goals, his assists. Before he came, United couldn't create a chance; under Mourinho, and Ole's first little bit, but since he's been in the team - he makes them tick.
"Sometimes it only takes one player to do that. Look at the weekend, he didn't start at the weekend, but he came on - and they probably wanted to rest him for tonight - but they couldn't afford to because he totally transforms the team."
Ferdinand said: "Like Scholesy just said there, he came on the pitch [against West Ham] and totally transformed the game. What we saw before, there were too many touches. Pogba's on the ball, when Bruno's on the ball, he looks up and makes the pass.
"This is the worst-case scenario for United when Bruno's not on the pitch. They can't break teams down like this."
