Former West Brom and Newcastle striker Salomon Rondon is on Wolves' radar.

The Sun says Wolves boss Nuno is looking at Rondon as possible short-term cover for Raul Jimenez.

Mexican Jimenez is likely to miss the majority of this season at least after fracturing his skull in a collision with David Luiz of Arsenal.

But with few players expected to be available in the January transfer window, Wolves are looking at whether Rondon could provide the solution for them.

He is currently playing for Dalian Pro in China but the club may be open to a deal.

And the 31-year-old Venezuelan's proven ability to lead the line in the Premier League makes him a viable option.
