Manchester City veteran Fernandinho admits the team is growing more confident with each passing week.
City made a slow start to the season, largely due to the limited period in between seasons.
But they have only conceded three in their past six games, getting four clean sheets in those matches.
Their attack is also progressing, and Fernandinho believes they will soon be a force domestically and in Europe.
City managed a 0-0 draw with FC Porto in the Champions League in midweek.
"They didn't arrive to our box very often," the Brazilian said following a game to the club website.
"I think it's important to show that defensive consistency and the team has shown it's growing.
"It's important to get more confidence little by little."
