Manchester United legend Roy Keane believes manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made the correct call in starting Daniel James.

The Welshman was a surprise inclusion in the starting lineup against Leeds United on Sunday at Old Trafford.

But he justified the manager's faith, putting in a committed display and scoring a goal in the 6-2 win.

James had not started a Premier League game for two months before Sunday.

"He's had a tough time. He's had a tough time since he's gone to United. He started off his career at United really well, but had a difficult few months," Keane told Sky Sports.

"Again, credit to Ole - he probably thought it was gonna be his kind of game and it's gonna be open. Going to United was a big move for him.

"Look at his face, it meant a lot to the kid and I'm delighted for him. Playing for Man United is not as easy as everyone thinks, there's a lot of pressure."
