Man Utd manager Solskjaer explains Bruno Fernandes selection
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer clarified his decision to start Bruno Fernandes against Everton in the Carabao Cup.
The Red Devils rung the changes for the midweek fixture, three days after beating Leeds United 6-2 in the Premier League.
United defeated Everton 2-0 to book a semi final match with Manchester City.
In the pre-match press conferences, Solskjaer had stated Fernandes would likely be rested. But he said he was misquoted.
Solskjaer told Sky Sports: "I never said that.
"I had to take him (Fernandes) off last game, I took him off and he wasn't happy, so I didn't kid you on.
"Bruno is one of those who recovers really quickly.
"But if the game is over, why not rest him then?"
