RANAU: The Barangan Makanan Assistance (BarMa) continues to be distributed across the district, where an additional 500 food baskets were distributed to the needy in six villages, here, Wednesday.Home Affairs (KDN) Deputy Minister II, Jonathan Yasin (pic), said the assistance is for those affected by Covid-19 including the less fortunate, single mothers, people with disabilities (OKU) and the homeless. After similar efforts successfully executed during the first movement control order (MCO) which came into effect in Malaysia last March, BarMa assistance began to be distribute again on Nov 2 where it was done by staff from the Ranau Parliamentary People’s Service Centre and other individuals.

“We hope that the BarMa contribution can alleviate the burden faced by family members of those affected by the pandemic.
