Leon Goretzka has confirmed he had an offer to join Liverpool before making the switch to Bayern Munich.
The Germany midfielder left Schalke for Bayern on a free transfer in the summer of 2018.
Asked about if he considered signing with Liverpool, the 25-year-old told The Athletic : "They were a consideration, of course.
"They're a great club, and their development since Klopp came has been amazing. We're all a little proud of him winning the title.
"But I took a long time making my decision, and I was 100 per cent sure that Bayern was the right move for me."
