CMCO extended; guidelines for celebrating X’mas

THE number of cases of daily Covid-19 throughout Sabah is still high and most of the clusters involve Malaysian citizens. 

 The Ministry also expects positive Covid-19 cases to continue to grow as a result of screening on foreign workers starting from Dec. 16. 

Therefore, the State Government has agreed to extend the CMCO throughout Sabah from Dec 21 to Dec 31.  It has also agreed to allow Christians to attend prayer ceremonies in conjunction with Christmas on Dec. 24 and 25 in areas under Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) and CMCO areas.

Christmas celebration such as house visits is only allowed on Dec. 25. However, Open House and carolling activities from house to house under RMCO and CMCO areas are not allowed.
