Derby County are targeting Newcastle United midfielder Matty Longstaff.
Longstaff recently signed a two-year deal on Tyneside, but has been restricted to just one appearance so far this season after spending time on the sidelines through injury.
The Sunday Mirror says former Magpies boss Steve McClaren has identified the 20-year-old as a potential loan target for Derby County next month.
McClaren was recently named technical director with the Rams.
Derby are currently in the Championship relegation zone and have just parted ways with manager Phillip Cocu.
