Old road to Sipitang town cut off

SIPITANG: The old road that connects Kg Aru Baru and Sipitang town was cut off Sunday due to landslide caused by continuous heavy rain since a day ago.

A resident identified as Adnan HS, who contacted the Daily Express, said the entire road was now impassable.

“The villagers are worried because all activities have come to a halt as all types of vehicles cannot pass through the road.

“We request that the Public Works Department (JKR) to take appropriate action to restore the road,” he said.

According to villagers the landslide occurred at 8.30am. “The incident has been notified to JKR for appropriate action to be taken,” he said.
