Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson admits Nathan Ferguson is still battling injury.
A knee injury delayed his debut after a summer arrival on a free transfer from West Brom.
He now has a thigh injury which will rule him out for the rest of 2020.
Hodgson admitted: "I'm wary of talking about MRI scans because I'm not quite certain about what the doctor has concluded.
"I'm afraid I'll have to be fairly obscure in a sense that it's a definite muscle strain, there's no question about that and he's definitely going to be out for a period of weeks with his rehabilitation."
