Manchester United are yet to decide whether Amad Diallo will be registered with the first team in January.
The Manchester Evening News says United have not decided whether Diallo will join the first-team squad straightaway if he arrives at the club in January.
United signed Atalanta forward Diallo, 18, for a fee rising to £37million on deadline day in October and are in the process of finalising a work permit so the Ivory Coast-born winger can move to England in the New Year.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said, "With Amad, hopefully we can get him in and we'll see how the squad looks and how he looks and how he settles as soon as possible. T
"It's important we find the right time."
