Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers is upbeat on the progress of talks with Jonny Evans over a new contract, with the 32-year-old's current deal expiring at the end of the season.
"Jonny wants to be here, and he's been instrumental in what I've done here," said Rodgers.
"He's a coach for me on the field and understands the game at the highest level and understands the journey of where we're trying to get to.
