Tawau mart closed for renovation

TAWAU: The Tawau Hotspring Market is now closed for renovation and it is expected to reopen Dec 19, if all goes well.

Tawau Municipal Council (TMC), President Datuk Omar Mammah said it was a roof renovation project and hoped it could be fully completed on the schedule. This was also the Government’s effort to concern the hawkers and upgrade their daily business operations. 

He told reporters his working visit to Tawau Hotspring Market and Semarak Market, here, recently.

“We will continue to monitor the cleanliness and order of markets in Tawau to ensure all are well-organised at all times; or else, it will create a negative image not only to the council but Tawau,” he added.
