Burnley boss Sean Dyche admits he's had little contact with ALK Capital.
ALK hope to complete the £200m deal to buy Burnley before the end of the year after protracted negotiations.
"I don't know any more than I am told which is very little, which is a surprise. I have been here eight years — I thought I might have a little bit more knowledge," said Dyche.
"People who have been in the game and management a lot longer than me say it's odd I don't know what's going on, but that's the way it is. I'll just sit tight and keep working as hard as I can.
"At the end of the day the business side of the club is for the business guys, the board and the chairman. I've always kept my focus anyway."
