Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski admits he was not bothered about not joining Manchester United.
The Pole has confirmed he spoke with Sir Alex Ferguson about joining United from Borussia Dortmund.
But Lewandowski says Borussia's success at the time meant he was happy staying in Germany.
"After my second year in Dortmund, I had a conversation with Sir Alex Ferguson," Lewandowski told France Football, via SportWitness.
"He wanted me to come to Manchester. There I was very interested. I can even say I was ready.
"But Dortmund didn't want to let me go. It didn't bother me more than that because things were going well with Borussia."
