Royal Professor Ungku Aziz dies aged 98

PETALING JAYA: Royal Professor Ungku Abdul Aziz Ungku Abdul Hamid, 98, passed away at a hospital in Kuala Lumpur today.

A report by Astro Awani stated the famed economics professor passed away at 4.30pm and his body will be taken to the At-Taqwa Mosque. He is expected to be buried tonight.

Ungku Aziz also served as vice-chancellor of Universiti Malaya from 1968 to 1988.
