Barcelona presidential candidate Toni Freixa has revealed the club had the chance of signing Sergio Ramos before he joined Real Madrid.
Off contract in June, Ramos has been mentioned as a target for certain candidates for next month's presidential vote.
Freixa said, "An emblem of Real Madrid can in no case come to Barça.
"But Sergio Ramos was hoped for. When he was in Sevilla, he was offered to FC Barcelona.
"From what I heard, he could have signed."
