Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho was pleased with Pierre-Emil Hojbjerg's performance in their draw with LASK last night.

While upset with his players for the Europa League performance, the manager spared Denmark midfielder Hojbjerg from his ire.

Mourinho said after the 3-3 draw: "Some players are fundamental to us, and someone I always need on the field to give the team a little balance.

"For example Højbjerg and Sonny (Heung-min Son); without them we would not have had a positive result."

The manager also said: "I did not learn anything new. The Europa League group stage game does not motivate all the players, and I knew that well.

"When I saw the warm-up before the match, I had a feeling and I told the players that there was a big difference in intensity, communication and enthusiasm in the opponent's warm-up and our warm-up, because I looked at them both. Nothing surprises me."
