LUMADAN: The distribution of food aid by the State Government to Weston residents affected by the Covid-19 pandemic is now in its final stages, said Lumadan assemblyman Hj Ruslan Muharam.

He said there are 8,000 household heads who have registered and so far, 7,000 household heads have received the aid.

“I hope the remaining 1,000 household heads will be patient as the appointed contractor will distribute it soon,” he said.

Last month, he advised the district office to expedite the distribution of food such as rice, coffee, sugar and other necessities to all household heads in Lumadan.

“Many suppliers have been appointed, so I am confident that the process of completing the food aid and delivery would be expedited.
