Govt prioritises welfare of rural folks: DCM

RANAU: The State Government will continue to prioritise the welfare of the rural community to ensure they will not be left behind.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam said it was imperative that benefits from all development programmes implemented by the Government would reach the community across the board, especially those in rural areas.

He said besides Government assistance, it was also important for the community themselves to strive to improve their lives and progress in their respective villages.

“On the part of the Government, we will always place the rural community’s welfare first in ensuring no one is left behind from development,” he said.
