Sung Siew student inventors win Shell silver global award

SANDAKAN: Young inventors “De 3 Lions” of Sekolah Menengah (SM) Sung Siew won the Silver in a recent invention competition.

Representing Malaysia, the team comprised Brandon Chin Min Qiao, Havyn Liew Xiang Rong and Chong Heng Fung and took home the highly coveted award in the student category of the Shell NXplorers Exceptional Invention Project.

The Form Four students were previously crowned champion in the Sabah finals of the #MyGeekMovement SHELL STEM invention competition back in March, and clinched the first runner-up as well as nominated for the best project category at the National level in August.

NXplorers is an International Shell education initiative aims at offering a way to explore real-world problems and generate potential solutions.
