AC Milan striker Rafael Leao was close to joining Inter Milan, says Antonio Cassano.
Leao is being celebrated in Italy today after scoring the fastest goal in Serie A history against Sassuolo.
“I really like him, [Piero] Ausilio told me to watch him closely before he joined Milan," Cassano said.
“He told me: 'Go and watch him', I know Inter had already signed him," Cassano added.
“There is only one thing I don't understand about Leao. What's his role? Is he a winger? Is he a striker? Which one is his role?"
