Aston Villa U23 coach Mark Delaney picked out Louie Barry and Akos Onodi for praise after Friday's FA Cup defeat to Liverpool.
Barry struck Villa's goal in the 4-1 defeat, while Onodi impressed in goal.
Delaney said of Barry: "Nothing surprises me with Louie if you know him like I do! I'm proud of him. To have one chance in a game and to take it, that shows real quality."
On Onodi, he added: "We knew he would have to make a few! We've got great faith in everybody we put out there tonight. I think to a player, I was going to say to a man but they're only youngsters really... They were outstanding. I couldn't pick anybody who stood out."
