Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is ready to stick with Emile Smith Rowe for the second-half of this season.

Arsenal have decided against making a move for Real Madrid playmaker Isco, says AS.

That is because they have been impressed by the recent form of young Smith Rowe.

Arteta was believed to be a big supporter of Isco and would have loved to snap up the 28-year-old if he became available, but he now thinks that would be an unnecessary move following the emergence of Smith Rowe.

The manager said last week, “For the last two weeks he has been much more involved and you can see what he can bring to the team.

“I am delighted to have a young player with his talent and in that position. It was something that we needed."
