Paul Pogba's world-class strike helped Manchester United secure a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Fulham on Wednesday.

The result puts United back on top of the Premier League, one point ahead of Manchester City, although their fierce rivals have a game in hand.

Ademola Lookman put the hosts ahead after just five minutes when Eric Bailly left him onside to fire past David De Gea.

But the Red Devils, following on from last weekend's draw with Liverpool, further strengthened their title claims by fighting back against the Cottagers.

Shortly after Bruno Fernandes struck the post, the tireless Edinson Cavani found an equaliser with 21 minutes on the clock.

United started to build pressure in the early stages of the second-half, with a piece of magic from Paul Pogba eventually handing them the lead.

The often maligned Frenchman showed exactly what he is capable of when he controlled a sky-high ball before skipping past a defender and unleashing a sweet left-footed strike from outside of the box.

It is Pogba's match-winning ability, now bearing fruit for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, which could help United end their eight-year wait for a Premier League title.

Fulham, however, pushed hard for an equaliser and could have tied things up if Ruben Loftus-Cheek didn't send a decent chance into row Z.

United are now 17 matches unbeaten away from home and will next host Sheffield United in the Premier League after Sunday's FA Cup tie with Liverpool.
